Why We Support

Why support taking the Gospel to the ends of the Earth?

Taking the Gospel to the ends of the Earth, overcoming barriers, deserts, jungles, mountains - it all started in earnest after World War II. Mission Aviation was born from the need for missionaries to reach people in the most remote places on the planet. Using small aircraft, highly skilled pilots began accessing isolated areas previously unreachable by ordinary means.

AMSA is determined to follow the call God is sending by supporting these bold missionaries.

Spread the Word

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” - Matthew 28:16-20

The Great Commission gave us purpose under God's dominion and Jesus Christ was very straightforward about bringing the word to the farthest ends of the world. AMSA believes that by supporting mission aviation efforts it also supports the mission of bringing the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

Missionaries do much more than just bring food and supplies to third world areas; they bring the Word of God with them, being obedient to Christ in his command to "go and make disciples of all nations."

Support The Efforts

Ultimately, AMSA aims to support the efforts of those in the mission field by bringing people together to share in the message of mission efforts around the world. The opportunity AMSA organizes for mission aviators brings support that they would otherwise not have access to. Beyond spreading the word to more people and opening new doors to opportunities locally and in the mission field, AMSA wants to help support the efforts in place now and help these missions to continue with their efforts.

Most people are not aware of what is already taking place around the world and how aviation is being used to reach these people. AMSA helps educate those who come to Sun ‘n Fun of these efforts and builds valuable relationships with pilots and others in the aviation industry.

New interest gained by exposure of the mission stories allows efforts to continue as changes take place in missions and the people who work within them, the technology needed to get to these remote places and the upkeep of current aviation equipment.
